Making a meal of it campaign

To celebrate this year’s World Mental Health Day on 10 October, the Mental Health Foundation will be encouraging people to Make a Meal of it by getting together to eat with their friends and families.

There is a body of evidence to show that sitting down for a meal with good company can be positive for a person’s mental health.

 

We carried out a national survey into the nation’s cooking and mealtime habits and found that almost half of the respondents only eat a meal at a family or friend’s house a few times a year, if at all.

Celebrate World Mental Health by inviting a few friends or family members to get together for a meal.
