Unusual Beliefs and Homeopathy.

John Exell's Story.

I have just started seeing a new homeopath, one who is very sympathetic to mental illness. The last time I saw her, I came to her with what I thought was a common complaint, but it took some time before she was satisfied with what remedy to prescribe me. She was looking through her homeopathic book, when she suddenly said "Do you see yourself as half angel, half devil." I immediately replied that I did. Once, when I had stopped taking my anti-psychotics, against medical advice, a picture of myself as an angel and devil fighting each other, appeared before me. Thereafter, I saw myself as half angel, half devil. Anyway I took the remedy she prescribed and it worked a treat. I now feel very similar to before I developed schizophrenia, when I was nineteen, and a lot of things are falling into place in my mind. I am certain now that I at last am on the way to recovery, after what has been a hellish year for me.

The point I am trying to make is that Homeopathy has remedies for all manner of unusual complaints, such as seeing yourself as half devil, half angel. If I had told my psychiatrist this, I am not sure what would have happened. People suffering from a psychosis no doubt develop all manner of unusual beliefs, and many strange things happen to them. It is possible that in Homeopathy there are remedies for all these unusual things, that seem very strange to psychiatry, but not to Homeopathy. So a possible cure is to find a good homeopath with some knowledge about mental illness and of course great sympathy, and open your heart and mind to them.
