Mental Health Foundation Appoints Senior Policy Advisor, Patient and Public Involvement

The Mental Health Foundation has appointed David Crepaz-Keay as a Senior Policy Advisor on Patient and Public Involvement. The new post will see David promote the voices of service users throughout the Foundation’s policy, service and practice development work.

 

Prior to his appointment, David was the Chief Executive at Mental Health Media, a leading mental health charity, and has contributed to a number of key mental health reports including Keys to Engagement, Creating Community Care and Building Bridges. For the last two years David has been a Commissioner of the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health.

 

Dr Andrew McCulloch, Chief Executive of the Foundation said, “David has a formidable reputation, and the Mental Health Foundation has a proud history of promoting service-user involvement and especially user-led research. David’s immense knowledge and experience will help the Foundation to give service users a strong and clear voice in the future of mental health services, policy and practice development.”

 

David Crepaz said, “I am thrilled to be joining the Mental Health Foundation. I believe service user involvement is essential for not only challenging discrimination, but also driving through policy development, service improvements and broader community development.”
