News Release: 6 March 2008
The Mental Health Foundation’s Chief Executive, Andrew McCulloch, today said:
“It is totally unacceptable to hear that, when information can be made available at speed, young people may have taken their own lives due to a lack of transparency by a pharmaceutical company.
“The pharmaceutical industry has played a significant role in the treatment of people with mental health problems over the years – it has a duty to be transparent and rigorous; otherwise it is in danger of losing the public’s trust.”
